PASS is a community of Microsoft data professionals offering year-round learning and professional development opportunities, virtual webinars, in-person networking, and mentorship. Each year they host PASS Summit, a conference bringing together over 4000 data professionals for in-depth learning, networking, and opportunities to hear, connect, and learn from the Microsoft team directly.
PASS Summit 2018 is the 20th edition of PASS Summit, taking place in Seattle, Washington, from November 6-9 it also includes 2 days of pre-conference deep dive sessions beforehand.
With over 150 sessions the conference offers a chance to meet and share knowledge with the best and brightest from the data professional community and Microsoft. With PASS Summit you will receive the latest details on technology advances, discover new solutions to help make your team more efficient, network and share learning with peers from around the world, meet the product experts and customer advisory team from Microsoft.
This will be our 3rd time attending PASS Summit. The content delivery and the knowledge coming from PASS Summit speakers and attendees is always impressive, with sessions delivered by community experts, MVPs, and Microsoft employees. Content is delivered through 8 tracks, Design, Build, Support, Perform, Scale, Analyze, Evolve, and Innovate at every skill level (100-500). Sessions focus on Advanced Analytics, Application Development, Big Data and IoT, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing, Cloud Solutions, Database Administration and Development, and Professional Development.
With pre-conference on Monday, November 5, and Tuesday, November 6, the main conference kicks off for all on Tuesday evening with the welcome reception; a chance to mingle with attendees with food and drinks. The learning begins on Wednesday with the Keynote at 8:15 followed by technical sessions for all tracks for the rest of the day. The expo hall will also be opened immediately following the keynote and throughout the day until 3:30. You will enjoy more opportunities to explore the innovative technologies available to you in the evening at the Exhibitor Reception from 6 – 8 pm. With more food and drinks being served, attendees can stroll about the expo hall and learn more from the PASS Summit exhibitors and sponsors. We will be at booth 300 to talk about data integration and ETL strategies.
Thursday follows a similar structure with a Keynote at 8:15 and a full day of learning opportunities. The expo hall will once again be opened immediately following the keynote until 3:30.
Friday marks the final day of the conference with final opportunities to squeeze out the last bits of everything PASS Summit has to offer through program sessions and networking. It will also be the final opportunity to explore the expo hall which will be opened from 10:30 – 2:00 pm.
